On November 26th, 2024, Bashosho Talents CBO took center stage at Githurai, transforming theatrical performance into a powerful instrument of social change during the second day of the 16 Days of Activism campaign.
A Platform for Unheard Voices
Our theatre group embarked on a critical mission: to shed light on the pervasive issues of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and police brutality through the raw, unfiltered medium of live performance. With two compelling shows, we sought to challenge societal norms, provoke critical thinking, and inspire collective action.

Gratitude to Githurai Social Justice Center
We extend our deepest appreciation to the Githurai Social Justice Center for providing us a platform to amplify these crucial narratives. Their belief in our artistic craft demonstrates the transformative power of collaborative social activism.
Beyond Performance: A Call to Action
Our performances are more than entertainment—they are a mirror reflecting the harsh realities faced by marginalized communities. Each scene, each dialogue is meticulously crafted to:
- Challenge systemic oppression
- Humanize survivors’ experiences
- Demand accountability from institutions
- Inspire community solidarity
